I hold a BA (Hons) in Humanistic Counselling from the University of Chichester, with a focus in Person-Centred Therapy. I have experience of working with a range of issues such as anxiety & depression, childhood trauma, life change and loss, domestic violence and controlling, coercive behaviour.
Person-Centred counselling is a talking therapy that places a client and their personal experiences central to the therapy session. I work in a non-directive way trusting that my client will talk about what is most pressing to them, although I will bring a client's awareness to the things they appear to be avoiding talking about too. I hope to gain a true sense of what it is to be you, to live in your world and experiences, often through this process a client will gain new insight and understanding of themselves.
As a Person-centred therapist the therapeutic relationship is key to our work together, and so I offer you an empathy rich private and confidential space that is non-judgemental. This space and our relationship will enable you to explore your world and experiences, promoting self-understanding, self-acceptance and self-compassion.
”At a low point, circumstantially and emotionally, I reached out to Holly, thinking that I would find it hard to open up and talk to anyone about what was going on with me. I had never had counselling before, and I was sceptical that it would make any difference. Needless to say, my scepticism is no more. Holly's approach is straightforward, gradual and non-judgemental. As a result, I felt at ease and could talk openly about my issues. It is not an understatement to say that my time with Holly has been transformational.”

“Speaking to Holly felt easy and natural, she made talking about difficult things less challenging. Her approach and demeanour allowed me to open up and explore tricky stuff I'd locked away for years. Most importantly for me, Holly never made me feel pressured or judged.”
